Funeral Announcements Via Text Message Ritchie Funeral Home has added a new feature to provide funeral service announcements through text messages on cell phones. It is very easy to join the Text Club. Simply type the number 36000 in the "Text To" area of your cell phone and type RITCHIE in the "Message" area. When Ritchie Funeral Home has a death at any of their four locations, a text message will be sent out giving the details of funeral service, similar to what is printed on funeral cards. The message does say there will be a charge, but the Ritchies have paid all costs and there will be no cost to those joining the Text Club. If you decide at some time that you do not want to receive the texts, simply reply stop and you will no longer receive the messages. Another nice feature of the Text Club is the ability to forward those announcements. If you have a death in the family and need to notify several people of service details, you can forward the text to them.
